How Divorce in Kindness came to be

I am a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and the founder of Divorce in Kindness. I am also an attorney licensed to practice in the state of Florida. My law firm is dedicated to collaborative family law and non-adversarial approaches to resolving family disputes.

Throughout my 26 years as an attorney involved in many litigated divorces, paternity actions and other family law matters, I consistently saw my clients go through an emotionally draining, conflictive, devastating and expensive process. Many times the courtroom drama continued even after the divorce was concluded. I grew to believe that even if a marriage could not be saved, it should not have to end in financial and emotional destruction.

This realization caused me to focus on mediation as an advantageous alternative to expensive, conflict-driven and prolonged litigation. Consequently, I attained a Florida Supreme Court certification as a family mediator and founded Divorce in Kindness.

A career dedicated to placing clients' needs first

I am a uniquely qualified mediator and collaborative family attorney. My training, education and experience allow me to effectively communicate with all parties involved in my mediation sessions. Because I have always been fascinated with the study of the human mind and behavior, I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from The University of Miami. I bring to the mediation table over 26 years of experience in courtroom, which gives me the knowledge and competence to grasp complex legal and family issues. This experience, coupled with my bachelor's degree in psychology, has given me a well-rounded background as a family mediator.

In addition to my legal acumen, I pride myself on being an attentive listener with strong processing and interpersonal skills. I am compassionate, insightful and have a keen ability to instill calmness. I am able to bring parties together to reach a satisfactory resolution on even the most contentious cases.
